Dr. Srinivasan is director of Texas A&M University’s Spatial Sciences Laboratory and professor in the Departments of Ecosystem Science and Management and Biological and Agricultural Engineering (U.S.). He also holds a partial appointment at Blackland Research and Extension Center (Temple, Texas, U.S.). His development work with SWAT is widely known and respected throughout the world. His research and its applications have contributed to long-lasting changes in assessments and development of management systems for natural resources and agricultural practices in more than 90 countries. Dr. Srinivasan is a key member of the development team. For decision makers, action agencies and researchers, SWAT serves as a virtual laboratory for testing the effectiveness of alternative environmental and agricultural policies and pollution control programs.
