Lifetime Training – A New Understanding

When we first organized the NATO Advanced Study Institute (ASI), our goal was to transfer our information and knowledge on ecosystem modeling and management gained by our international working group during nearly 10 years of joint research activities, to 55 young researchers and managers representing 17 countries from all over the world. Today, we are rapidly proceeding forward to become an international training center to present and transfer this know-how, enriched by new understandings, new tools and methods, and new experts to:

• our colleagues who are career-oriented,
• researchers and graduate students,
• managers at the decision-making level

IGEM Akademia gets its strength as a prominent international training center from: 

• its concept of education based on long years’ experiences rooted in mutual interaction and needs and quality-price demands of course attendees (called our stakeholders)
• its highly selective trainers named as “world experts” who have the necessary advanced information and knowledge, skills and know-how to implement this understanding
• its experiences of international training workshops—which have been going on continuously for more than 12 years, in various parts of the world including  Europe, Central Asia, and North Africa—and of complex international project management
• organization skills of its courses centered and based on customer satisfaction and achievement

This strength, or power, without any doubt will be used to present to our consumers the best quality training facilities for upcoming years, by continuously renewing and developing itself.

Our courses are composed of programs prepared with great care over the years in 3 different series: Operational Models, Decision Support Tools, and Management. WE BELIEVE IN their capability to answer the strong demands of skilled and knowledge-based professionals and researchers needed by international global society. NEWS FROM OUR MEMBERS

IGEM Research&Consulting submitted a project proposal on groundwater management together with 20 European institutes for EU 7th FP. After EC evaluation this proposal replaced the first order of the whole environmental projects proposals list. It is expected that the project will start at Jan 09.
